TechnologyOne invest heavily into R&D, contributing $50m annually to development and product innovation.
They wanted their Research Management solution to reflect this, positioning them at the cutting edge of research and discovery for universities and research organisations.
TechnologyOne approached HdE AGENCY in 2020 to make this vision come to life.
Our objective was to productise Research Management software, and launch it to the UK market. In addition, driving new logo acquisition with a supporting go-to-market and activation campaign.
To begin the project, we conducted a comprehensive product and technical study to analyse the existing products in the market.
We employed advanced technology research techniques to study the products’ functionality and processes, whilst gaining a deeper understanding of its technical architecture, and importantly how it can be easily (or not) mobilised in different IT environments.
On finalising the product development and technological processes, we prepared a budget that ensured that the product was not only feasible but also matched the pre-defined costs approved by the client.
With in-depth analysis on research management software, we determined various components that enhanced the characteristics and properties of the solution to make it ‘best in class’.
Next, we began creating the go-to-market strategy and activation campaign. At this stage we helped our client understand the opportunities in their target markets, identifying their addressable audience, re-shaping their product narrative to give them a competitive fit, whilst importantly identifying where and how decision makers purchase similar software solutions.
We created a product demo page, which clearly explained our products value proposition and its competitive advantages, whilst developing a consistent and strong CTA to drive funnel engagement.
After iterations and optimisation, we proudly delivered TechnologyOne’s new Research Management solution to market.
The solution continues to experience exponential growth in the market, and has consistently proved an entry level product that has contributed new logos wins.
Excitingly this entry product is allowing SDR’s to ‘land and expand’, furthering their UK market position.
