Launching a recruitment agency is no easy task. Add an unprecedented global pandemic to the mix and you’ve found yourself with an interesting situation, to say the least.

The UK saw the introduction of the furlough scheme and an influx of redundancies across various markets, virtual video interviews and online onboarding became second nature, and some industries found themselves in a desperate need of new recruits to help manage a new, unprecedented demand. Recruiters everywhere have had to think on their feet to keep the wheels turning, supporting both clients and candidates through an incredibly turbulent time.

Despite launching HdE TALENT in one of the most challenging periods ever, our concrete vision and purpose has truly enabled us to thrive and flourish.  Our robust processes have allowed us to really deliver something special to our clients, enabling us to make a positive impact in the industry. 

Starting the year with success!

The past three months have been particularly great for us as a recruitment agency. In March alone, we partnered with five brand new clients, a testament to the hard work and dedication that we, as an agency, put in to ensure our clients receive the best service possible.

Adding value to the market with a consultative approach 

In April 2020, the job market was flipped on its head with the future looking pretty bleak. Many businesses were crumbling under financial pressure caused by the Coronavirus, and a large population of professionals had unfortunately lost their jobs as a result of this.

Fast forward a few months, with the acceptance of a ‘new normal’ and fresh hiring plans being driven by businesses to make up for lost time, and it looks as though the bounce-back era is here.

At current, there’s a high level of competition for great candidates, with the volume of hiring back to pre-pandemic levels, and many professionals who lost their jobs having already found new positions. Adding to this is the apprehension of candidates when it comes to switching up their jobs. Joining a new company remotely is a deterrent for many, whilst others are hesitant to make a move when they feel safe and secure in their current role.

This has resulted in the market being candidate-driven. It is now not the employees who are trying to fit the criteria of a job requirement, but the employers who are trying to engage candidates by selling an attractive work package. 

Listening and responding to this market is something we actively do here at HdE TALENT, and this has allowed us to tailor our services to ensure we are facilitating both our clients and candidates as best we can.

We then relay this information to our clients in order to allow them to fully understand the current candidate market and the typical offers they will find most attractive. This is a process we undertake with both clients and candidates, ensuring both parties have all the knowledge they need to make the correct informed decisions and get the results they desire. 

Looking to the future: Growing with our clients

Not only have we managed to help our clients build wonderful teams through the increased understanding of the market and the quality pool of candidates we have to offer, but we also have mighty plans to grow our own team here at Hde TALENT.
